Description

Are you up for the Anaga Challenge?

Two days, one single massif: Anaga. A point-to-point crossing through the Anaga Massif Biosphere Reserve, traversing centuries-old laurisilva, isolated hamlets, dizzying ridges, and ravines that drop straight into the Atlantic. We start at Cruz del Carmen and won’t stop until the sea at Antequera welcomes us on the other side of the island.

The first day descends through the laurisilva forest and viewpoints towards Taganana. From there, we transfer by vehicle to the Montes de Anaga Hostel in El Bailadero, where we spend the night to recharge. The following day, another transfer takes us to Benijo to rejoin the trail and ascend the summit again towards Chamorga, before descending through the Antequera ravine to one of the most remote pristine beaches in the Canary Islands, accessible only on foot or by boat. We conclude the challenge by sailing alongside the Anaga cliffs to Las Teresitas Beach in San Andrés.

A route designed for small groups and experienced hikers looking to test their legs in one of the most spectacular (and demanding) landscapes in the Canary Islands.
