Description
Anaga’s Challenge – Two Days of Hiking through the Anaga Biosphere Reserve
Dare to embark on one of the most stunning routes across the Anaga massif. Two days of pure nature, history, and sea in an experience that will let you discover Anaga like never before, accompanied by a tour guide and a certified mountain guide who will show you every corner through new eyes.
We will explore ancient paths that once connected isolated villages, discover traditions that still endure in the highlands, and feel the magic of the laurel forests until we reach the Atlantic Ocean, where the sound of the waves will mark the end of our journey.
Day 1 – From the Heights to Taganana
We’ll meet at 8:00 a.m. at the La Laguna bus station and head to Pico del Inglés, one of Tenerife’s most iconic viewpoints. From there, we’ll walk through misty forests to Taborno, then descend toward Afur, Tamadite, and finally Taganana, a village full of history and tradition.
We’ll end the day with a visit to a local winery in Taganana and a restful night at the Montes de Anaga Hostel, surrounded by the peaceful silence of the forest.
Day 2 – From El Bailadero to the Sea
After breakfast, we’ll continue our trail at El Bailadero, descending through the Barranco del Cercado to San Andrés, where we’ll finish with a well-deserved swim at Las Teresitas Beach, a symbol of the end of our challenge.
